Hypnosis Therapy Center –
„Hypnosis is only for esotericists“
If you have heard this sentence from a family member or a friend, please send it to us – because we also like to laugh.
But seriously:
Hypnosis or hypnotherapy has been scientifically researched for many decades.
The effectiveness of hypnosis has been scientifically proven
From measurements with EEG, PET scanners and MRI, it is known that different areas of the brain change their activities during hypnosis. Some areas are activated more strongly than in the normal waking state, others are more inhibited, depending on the type of hypnosis technique. The altered brain wave activity can be measured on the EEG. Neurobiologically, the prefrontal cortex in particular is shut down, which leads to the difference between waking logic and trance logic.
In addition, there are clearly researched contraindications in which cases hypnosis should not be used because it could harm the subject. However, you will learn this from your hypnotist or hypnotherapist during the consultation.

Questions and Answers Hypnosis
The state of „hypnosis“, better referred to as „trance“, can be defined as: „Deliberately induced special state of consciousness with limited perception of the environment and altered brain activity compared to the normal waking state.“
In other words, during hypnosis or the „trance state“, the body is relaxed and the mind is focused on the focus of treatment.
During hypnosis, you do not lose consciousness under any circumstances – you have full control and access to resources of your subconscious mind that are normally closed to you. It is also impossible to accept a suggestion that goes against yourself or against your values. The person in hypnotic trance is fully conscious, but other stimuli are severely restricted, which allows you to focus much more on the content of the session. Such a trance state can be compared to the state of heightened attention, daydreaming, or „immersion“ while listening to music.
We hear this question a lot and we know this fear. But the answer is very clear: No, that can’t happen.
In the trance you feel relaxed and pleasantly secure. After waking up, you feel like after a good nap, refreshed and rested.
There has been a lot of controversy and myths about being „susceptible“ to hypnosis. We are convinced that everyone is susceptible to hypnosis, while people are different in their receptivity to suggestions.
Some people get into a state of relaxation more easily, others relax a little slower or more difficult due to a more developed analytical or critical part of their mind. However, if there is the will to change and let go of old patterns of action, you will certainly be able to reach a trance state even in such cases.
